Are the Rolled Oats in Seed+Oat Butter Gluten Free and Glyphosate Residue Free?

Gluten Free: Yes, our oats are verified gluten free! They are sourced from a manufacturer that has a robust allergen and gluten program in place so those with gluten-intolerance and celiac's disease can consume with confidence! The following is true about our oats manufacturer:

- Their product line is completely Gluten Free. They do not offer gluten-containing grains, which are defined as wheat (e.g., durum, spelt, kamut, emmer, einkorn), rye, barley, or their cross-bred hybrids such as triticale. 

- Each and every incoming lot is tested by a 3rd party laboratory for the presence of gluten to verify that cross-contact has not occurred in the field or at earlier processing steps.

- The FDA has established a gluten limit of less than 20 parts per million (ppm) for foods that carry the gluten-free label. Edison Grainery threshold is <10 ppms and test results average <5pps.- Their rolled oats meet or exceed that standard and carry the “Verified Gluten Free” logo.

What is the shelf life of Seed+Oat Butter? Does it need to be refrigerated?

Seed+oat butter has a shelf life of 6 months from the date of manufacture, as indicated by the best buy date on the jar. It's best to consume the product within a month of opening. Store Seed+oat at room temp for that oh-so-perfect drizzly texture, or keep it cool in the fridge for a fudge-like consistency. Don't forget to give it a stir before refrigerating!

My jar has a layer of oil at the top, what should I do?

Separation is completely normal with natural spreads and butters such as ours, do not worry! To get your Seed+Oat Butter back to the perfect consistency, follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Close the lid tightly and shake it as much as you can in all directions! (You can skip this step if you're not in the mood to shake something)

Step 2: Set the jar down and gently remove the lid (and seal, if not done so already).

Step 3: Use a butter knife or a spoon to get down to the bottom of the jar and gently stir until the oil is fully incorporated.

What is Rosemary Extract?

Our rosemary extract is all natural organic and vegan. Rosemary extract is used for freshness, we incorporate a minimal quantity that you cannot taste but it acts as a natural preservative!

Our products are manufactured and packed in our private facility in Livingston, NJ allowing us to maintain complete control over every aspect of our process.
